Order Management

S3-CISPUB^TM makes order entry and fulfillment a simple, user-friendly process. The order entry module offers a single point of entry for multiple transaction types (book, subscription, standing, not yet published, software, etc.) and better equips your customer service/order entry people to service and sell. They have quick access to customer purchase histories, inventory inquiry, and product feature and benefit screens, producing an environment that effectively supports cross-selling and up-selling.

In addition, Order Entry fully integrates with all standard and optional S3-CISPUB^TM modules and standards-compliant third party software. Properly authorized personnel have desktop access to the information they need (you set the levels of access) to respond to virtually any customer or author situation or information need.

As an order is completed, a picking ticket is generated in a user-defined "most efficient" picking sequence. Products are consolidated for greater efficiency in stock selection as well. Invoices are shipped with the product or sent separately and include fields for explanatory notes, back orders, comments, etc.

Order entry activity in S3-CISPUB^TM updates all related modules in real-time, enabling same-day billing and up-to-the-minute accuracy for reporting and inquiries. Drill-down through historical data is made easy with over 400 publishing report templates and the S3-CISPUB^TM Report Writer that allows for report building or customization.

Order Entry also offers a robust suite of functionality around standing orders and back orders. Standing orders and back orders are maintainable from order entry and can be released automatically as new stock enters the system. With the optional S3-Verify, credit cards can be authorized automatically upon release of both types of orders. The system can also generate revised ship date notices, mass backorder updates and releases and backorder shipping consolidation with regular orders.
