PERSEUS BOOKS GROUP INKS DEAL WITH S3

Perseus Books Group has reached an agreement with S3 Publishing Technologies Inc. to purchase and upgrade to S3's latest publishing industry ERP software. This move will allow Perseus Book Group to consolidate various previous versions of CISPUB onto one base system in a fully version controlled environment.

"The fact that S3's software was designed specifically for publishing, rather than being just a massive generic off-the-shelf system was critical. It is completely integrated and cost effective next to all other options. Our Westview division had long-running success with it. With all of those factors, it became a pretty easy decision" commented Bob Mancuso, Vice President and CFO of Perseus Books Group.
Currently Perseus out-sources fulfillment through HarperCollins with fully integrated streaming data channels allowing them to make extensive use of S3's Royalties, Accounts Payable, General Ledger and Job Costing functions in an integrated environment. "S3 provides a single, integrated source for our system needs" remarked Bob Mancuso. "S3’s flexibility allows us to easily add new business entities (imprints) to the system."
